Asuka is no longer NXT Women's Champion

Asuka is one of WWE's biggest star to have never stepped foot on the main roster. She is regarded as the female 'Goldberg' of WWE. Considering her majestic rise as the "Empress of Tomorrow", it can be definitely said that Asuka will be The Next Big Thing in WWE Women's Division, for sure.

However, one sad news that has been reported is that Asuka has had to vacate her NXT Women's title because of a shoulder injury which will put her out for at least 6 to 8 weeks. It has been reported that the next NXT taping will feature Asuka vacating her title to William Regal because of a shoulder injury that she sustained probably in her match with Ember Moon. Triple H also came out and shook her hand, congratulating her for her remarkable achievement in WWE. It appears to be really sad that her 500+ days reign as NXT Women's Champion came to such a shocking end. Many people believe this to be a story line and that she has not been legitimately hurt in the incident. However, I and even Whatculture believe it to be untrue. She has been legitimately injured and is having to relinquish her NXT Women's Championship.

It, however, remains to be seen what the future holds for Asuka and where WWE takes her character from here. Possibly, she will make her much awaited main roster debut once she returns. It will possibly make her the first NXT superstar to be undefeated before making his/her main roster debut. This very much looks like the possible direction in which WWE is likely to go. However, like we have seen WWE in the past, they have done some really stupid stuff with characters and as we say "Never say Never" when it comes to WWE spoiling characters.
