Why Samoa Joe is set to win the Royal Rumble?

Samoa Joe has been the mainstay of the NXT for almost 2 years now and it is all but likely that his stint in the development is over. No wonder WWE gave him the unique opportunity of becoming the first 2-time NXT Champion. Although he is televised to appear at NXT shows post Royal Rumble, it is a no-brainer that the 'Samoan Submission Specialist' is set to make his debut at the Royal Rumble this Sunday.

What makes it more likely is the fact that WWE has not spoken about him at all. If anyone remembers the last Royal Rumble, everyone was expecting Triple H to be the one to beat Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble but WWE was completely silent on the question of Triple H. WWE has been teasing fans lately by uploading videos where various wrestlers have stated their surprise entrants for this year's Royal Rumble and no one has yet spoken of the Samoan. This makes us to believe that it is all but sure that Samoa Joe will be making his debut on the main roster at the Royal Rumble.

However, it is not the fact that he will debut at the Royal Rumble which makes it intriguing but the fact that he may end up becoming the winner is what has made fans more excited than ever. If sources are to be believed, Joe is stated to get a monster push "sooner" than "later" which means he will be on a role as soon as he shows up on the main roster, much like Finn Balor. And it is most likely that he will win this Royal Rumble.

WWE's story-telling has improved comparatively after the brand split and we've witnessed more intriguing storylines than we did in the past. Considering this, most wrestlers involved in the Royal Rumble already have something going on. WWE has named 22 entrants in this year's edition of the Royal Rumble and none of them look to win the Royal Rumble apart from - The Undertaker and a few others like Corbin. This leaves a spot for the other 8 and only Samoa Joe matches the talent and ability to headline his first ever Wrestlemania. Not only this, he is the 4th highest contender in the betting odds equalling Finn Balor. This makes us all speculate if Joe will be the one to lift the crown.

Therefore, I firmly believe Samoa Joe is all set to be the winner at this year's edition of the Royal Rumble. Imagine the crowd reaction that he would be getting after eliminating the last man standing. Previous editions of the Royal Rumble have also not been that convincing and it looks but certain that Joe's daunting win this year can change this up. He will most likely enter the Royal Rumble post mid-way i.e. after 15. It would be naive to predict his exact entry spot.
