Is this why Sting debuted at Survivor Series 2014?

It's not a hidden fact that Sting always wanted to wrestle 'The Undertaker', a match that has been called a dream for the ages. When Sting first appeared in the WWE during the Traditional Survivor Series Match between Team Authority vs Team Cena it looked like he came there to build his promo for the match against Triple H at Wrestlemania. Something that was planned and perfectly executed by the WWE. However, there's a conspiracy theory attached to this. 

Many believe that Sting's obsession with The Undertaker never dwindled and he was keen on facing 'The Phenom'. He chose Survivor Series to be the apt platform for his debut performance in the WWE because someone else had debuted at the same occasion 24 years ago. Yes, The Undertaker. Sting always wanted to be remembered and immortalised just like The Undertaker and maybe, just maybe, that's why he chose Survivor Series as the ideal platform to show up. He had insisted the WWE to have his debut on Survivor Series just like The Undertaker.

After losing to Triple H, Sting cut a promo on Raw where he gave a wry smile when WWE Universe started chanting 'Undertaker'. This gave away how much he dreamed of this match and with Sting and Phenom performing at the same place at the same time but not against each other was one disappointing moment for all WWE Universe.

 

Many believe that the match between these 2 stalwarts of the wrestling industry is still possible with Undertaker's most likely Retirement Match this Wrestlemania. There have been a lot of speculations about Cena and Taker finally squaring off at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All' but I think they'll let 'The Icon' finally have his say and fight the Phenom for one last time as he bids goodbye to the WWE Universe. Sting didn't come here to lose all his matches, did he? Imagine an Icon like Sting will only be remembered for losing all his matches at WWE. I think that shouldn't be the case and despite his entry into The Hall of Hame, he still has a fair chance to be the one to end Undertaker's career. WWE likes being unpredictable and Sting's absence from the squared circle for more than an year make him an unpredictable opponent, at least for now.
